Starting from August 1, the Strada Nuova Museums increase their offer with a new museum route including 35 exhibition halls among Palazzo Bianco and the noble floor of Palazzo Tursi.

In addition to the first floor of Palazzo Bianco, which presents an itinerary through the

paintings of Genoese School from the 14th and early 15th century and a selection of artworks from Palazzo Rosso, together with paintings of Venetian School from the 14th century and Caravaggio's Ecce Homo, visitors can continue their visit on the second floor of the museum. Here visitors can admire works of Italian artists from the 14th century such as Filippino Lippi, Flemish and Northern artists from the 16th to the 18th century, Genoese paintings from the 15th century and a collection of Spanish artists from the 17th century.

The most significant innovation is the presence of other artworks from Palazzo Rosso, such as the two Portraits of Anton Giulio Brignole Sale and his wife Paola Adorno and Anton Van Dyck's Christ carrying the cross, Dürer's Portrait of a Young Man, the Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist, The Incredulity of Saint Thomas, and The flute player by Bernardo Strozzi.

Palazzo Doria Tursi keeps a selection of Genoese paintings from the 18th century, including Alessandro Magnasco's Entertainment in Garden of Albaro and Antonio Canova’s Penitent Magdalene.

In the Sale Paganiniane can be admired the famous violin Guarneri del Gesù, that belonged to Niccolò Paganini.

The dislay of decorative works of art and the collection of coins, weights and official measures of the ancient Genoese Republic complete the exhibition path .

The visit follows a one-way, circular path. The access to the museum is limited to two-person at a time, in order to allow social distancing of at least 1,5 mt between people. Families with children may enter together.

In order to enter the Museum, the visitors will need to:

1. wear a mask

2. sanitize hands

3. undergo body temperture control: visitors with body temperature higher than 37.5°C won't be allowed to access the museum

4. follow the rules of social distancing and the instructions on the signs.

For security reasons the cloakroom and visit devices are temporarily unavailable.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10.00 - 14.00

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 10.00 - 18.00

Reduced price tickets: visitors with disabilities, EU citizens over 65

Free entrance: EU citizens under 18, adults accompanying visitors with disabilities

Free entrance for residents: reserved to people residing in the Municipality of Genoa, every Sunday

Online ticket reservation is recommended. The reservation can be done either through http://www.museidigenova.it/en/museum/palazzo-bianco or www.ticketone.it (1.50€ preorder fee). The visitors will be asked to show the reservation, in paper or digital form at the ticket office.

Tickets can be bought directly at the ticket office only if the maximum number of guests hasn't been reached yet.
