Boat trips to the Riviera
A large variety of boat trips depart from Genoa to visit popular destinations, admire the coast from the sea, or simply to enjoy the ride.
Portofino and San Fruttuoso
This trip travels through the Golfo Paradiso, where small villages alternate with larger towns, from the port of Genoa to the promontory of Portofino.
San Fruttuoso can only be reached by boat or on foot, along paths shadowed by dense vegetation. Once there, you can visit the famous Abbey of San Fruttuoso, a jewel of Romanesque and Gothic Ligurian architecture nestling amid the greenery of the promontory and the bay; documented right back to the 10th century, it once belonged to the Doria, princes of Genoa, and today is the property of the Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (FAI), Italy's national trust.
The enchanting little village of Portofino, nestled within the promontory of the same name, is Liguria's most famous, prestigious tourist destination, brimming with restaurants and sidewalk cafés, alongside the elegant shops that look onto its exclusive "piazzetta".
