Royal Palace Museum
Preserved in this sumptuous 17th-century palace are both works of art and everyday objects that once belonged to the noble families (Balbi, Durazzo, and Savoy) who lived here from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The rooms play host to a rich collection of paintings, including works by many Italian and foreign artists (Van Dyck, Tintoretto, Strozzi), as well as those of the Genoese school (Piola, il Grechetto, Schiaffino) and sculptures by Filippo Parodi. Of particular note is the collection of Genoese furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries.
