The halls of this prestigious palace, built by Andrea Doria in the 16th century, feature frescoes, paintings, and sculptures by important Ligurian, Italian and foreign artists, along with a valuable series of tapestries.
The museum boasts works by artists such as Perin del Vaga, Piola, Tavarone, Cambiaso, Titian and Castello, and the villa's Italian Renaissance garden is home to a monumental marble fountain of Neptune by the Carlone brothers.
