From June 15th to June 24th 2018 at the piazza delle Feste of the Porto Antico – where many shows of the Teatro del Dialogo Festival were held in the past – the 20th Suq Festival will take place, this year dealing with "Women, islands and frontiers".

This is a standing appointment, which takes place in a symbolic location. The festival is based on the fundamental and necessary exchange among world cultures, here you will find spaces and small shops to dive into flavours and traditions of the world, together with debates, meetings and shows. 

This 20th edition overcomes the 2017 record with more than 70.000 people attending the event in 11 days, 40 artisan shops coming from all around the world, 15 different cooking traditions to taste, but also Humanitarian Associations and migrants communities. 

This festival will take place on many stages, such as the one of the Chiesa di San Pietro in Banchi, the one of the Isola delle Chiatte, and, one in Ventimiglia, where a Theatrical show will take place at the Museo Preistorico of Balzi Rossi, not far from the French border. 

The programme offers many events: the Teatro del Dialogo festival and international concerts, showcooking and workshops for children, meeting with important spokespeople and ethnic dance. The Suq Festival and Theatre Project has been supported by UNESCO since 2011.
