Archaeological Museum and Adventure Park
In the seaside neighbourhood of Pegli, 20 min. by boat from the Old Port of Genoa, you'll find multiple opportunities to enjoy activities in the open air, delve in depth into historical subjects and test your skills in archaeology laboratories and obstacle courses.
Morning: at the "La Vetta di Pegli" (Peak of Pegli) Adventure Park, in a beautiful pine forest, you can complete adventure courses suitable for even the youngest visitors, having fun together in complete safety. In trees soaring up to 20 metres high, you'll get a workout while having fun in the open air with the assistance of specialised staff along the entire course. The Museo Batteria Mameli (Mameli Battery Museum) can also be visited on the Peak; booking required.
Afternoon: in the Grotta dell’Archeologia (Archaeology Cave), within the Park of Villa Doria, you can relive snatches of prehistoric life and discover the relationship between Man and the environment in the company of an archaeologist, with experimental activities on different types of raw materials and natural resources: working with seashells, spinning wool, grinding grains, recognising wild plants useful for humans….
Near the Grotto, you can also visit the Museo di Archeologia Ligure (Ligurian Archaeological Museum), the Park of Villa Pallavicini and the Museo Navale (Naval Museum).
