A great exhibition to present to the public the artistic and biographical path of one of the most famous couples in art in the 1900s. 120 works are displayed at Palazzo Ducale with the objective of telling the secret ties that joined the two artists, so profoundly different, as it has been differently evalueted their artistic expression over time.

After the exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, that shows the work of Frida Kahlo in the context of the international avant-garde of her time, the display at Palazzo Ducale, organized by Genova Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura, MondoMostre and Skira, will investigate the relation between this couple of artists: in fact the work of Frida Khalo alone, seems to be incomplete without the support that Diego Rivera offers to her fragility.

The exhibition in Genoa is by Helga Prignitz-Poda, who is the author of the catalogue, in collaboration with Christina Kahlo (Frida’s niece) and Juan Coronel Rivera (Diego’s nephew).
